The Lumino Watch offers an experience of focusing on the various colors of the sky that appear as time flows. It features two discs representing the hour and minute hands, which overlap and separate from each other repeatedly, symbolizing the changing nature of time.
This watch is characterized by the rotation of the discs, resulting in both color and form changes, revealing a new appearance in the space every hour. Instead of providing precise timekeeping, it emphasizes the importance of having a sense of tranquility, similar to the ever-changing sky, without being bound by time.
To achieve the color scheme, color chips of traditional Korean paper, Hanji, were created and printed using a heat transfer technique. The production process was simplified to increase efficiency and reduce color variations that can occur through hand coloring. Additionally, three color options were made available to suit various wall environments.
