We created picnic gear by upcycling banners.
The premise of the project was to recycle existing banners, so instead of using new materials, we decided to repurpose the old banners to make our products. This approach conserves resources and reduces the amount of waste generated, which has a significant impact on preserving natural resources and reducing environmental pollution.
By flipping the existing banners, we achieved both durability and a more subdued color palette in terms of functionality and design. Our design approach was inspired by the sustainable products of our ancestors, particularly pieces made from scraps. By repurposing unnecessary waste and even the smallest remnants, we aimed to create new value while reducing environmental burden and achieving a unique design.
