The 00:00 (Midnight) Light, is a light designed using the repetition of the shape of a circle. Midnight can also be seen as the intersection of yesterday and today, which is why the light is a collaboration between a designer using modern materials and a maker utilizing traditional materials. In order to make the light appear most effective, 3D printing was used to create a unique shape and structure, and the surface was finished with Hanji paper to give it technical perfection and distinction. The gradient effect of the sky gradually changing from night to morning was implemented to create two options: a black-and-white version that goes from white to black, and a color version that goes from yellow to deep purple, allowing the light to shine in a variety of spaces.

"I joined the program to learn about new techniques and design approaches that I wouldn't have been exposed to if I were working on my own, and I was able to explore ways of working with traditional materials on top of a variety of others, including metal, acrylic, and 3D printing. It was also a great way to explore how to move from traditional handcrafted techniques to utilizing modern technology to make my work more efficient in achieving form."

The design is modern and simple, but with enough traditional touches within it to create a timeless light that spans generations."
