Please introduce SANRO.

SANRO is an in-house brand prepared by S.O.G. Design Studio, a studio that’s been specializing in industrial design for the past 8 years. We have been working on the entire process from design planning to mass production design for a long time, and we have been able to collaborate with production partners to develop our own products.

How did you go from running a studio to creating a brand?

We often encountered situations with clients that were not sustainable due to the current market or other conditions, so we realized at the time of a big drop in sales that providing a service was not self-sustaining, and we were convinced that we needed to create a brand. So it was a product of self-renewal, with our own will and philosophy, to create what we wanted to create and make it a must-have product for someone.

I've heard your product is "different" in the way it's made.

Our products are basically aimed at customers who are running a store, such as in F&B, or setting up a new space. They are products that are a must-have for the space, but seeing the products on offer in the market, some people think “is this all there is?”, but we add our own touch to make them special and increase their value. Right now, we're showcasing lights and price tags, and we'll be trying out additional products like umbrella stands, flowerpots, baskets, and bug traps anything that we can do with our manufacturing partners, from electronics to props.

What are your goals and plans for the future?

As industrial designers, not artists, we are obligated to make products with the right design and price for the right environment. We will make products that we want to use, that we want to make, that we want to use, that we want to make, that we want to use, that we want to use, that we want to use, that we want to use, that we want to use, that we want to use, that we want to use, that we want to use, that we want to use.

What is SANRO’s unique exhibition concept at the theme hall?

By using the byproducts of raw materials generated during mass production, we utilize materials that would otherwise be thrown away through a number of designs that can be made with leftover scraps. We hope that people will look at our products from the perspective of a natural virtuous cycle and see the added value of reusing materials through our exhibition. In addition, the tables and shelves where our products are displayed are all made of paper and can be recycled, and these are also products that we designed and are planning to sell as useful products in POP UP stores.
