NON CHAIR has a unique design based on the harmony between steel balls and bending pipes and naturally blends into any space thanks to its relaxing color palette. It has a round look that suits trendy spaces such as kids cafés and lounge areas of hotels and rental cottages, spicing up the space. Dong Kyung Metal and HOOSDESIGN plan to develop the Non Furniture Series that even include benches and tables by applying the formative characteristics of the chair design.

“We wanted to design a product that could maximize the identity of Dong Kyung Metal’s metal processing based on its expertise in metal spinning and metal ball production. In line with the win-win approach, the collaboration was based on the premise that the outcome of the design should be a product that combines technologies of both companies. After discussing practical and efficient production methods for metal processing, we were able to proceed from concept design stage to final design development without trial and error.”
