Patched Basket (S,M)

We have developed a versatile basket that combines the traditional beauty of a traditional material, mosi, with the rough texture of an industrial material, Tyvek. This product is both durable and waterproof. OnBysorye is dedicated to using traditional natural materials in their designs, while BE FORMATIVE focuses on creating various eco-friendly storage products using Tyvek. Both of our teams emphasize "design with sustainable materials," and we have completed the product with a minimalistic division of fabric patches and color matching that can be a focal point as an interior element. Available in two sizes, the medium size comes with a handle for convenient use in everyday life and can be used for various purposes, while the small size is compact and suitable for storage on tables or shelves.

archiving tray

The "Archiving Tray" is a three-tiered archiving tray consisting of individual trays of varying heights. It embodies the theme of "archiving time" in its method of production and user experience. The traditional craft technique of layering, known as "joomchigi," was utilized for its durability, which was then systematized to enable mass production. By layering six or more sheets of hanji (traditional Korean paper) to create a large sheet, and then cutting it to standardized sizes, the strength of product is increased, revealing the texture of the hanji, and implementing the concept of "archiving time" during the production process.
The compressed firmness of the hanji challenges the traditional perception of its softness, allowing users to experience the uniqueness of material. The three tiers of trays are progressively sized and colored, creating visual depth and offering versatility in selecting the size based on the archiving subject.

Curly

With the goal of viewing plants from more diverse angles, we designed a vase that can display plants in a different location. Specifically, we wanted to select a wall space to give tension to the plane with a thin line. The "Curly" series is inspired by the organic curves the stem has, expressing intersecting, overlapping, and nonlinear movements.
Free curvature increases productivity using cnc bending technology, and complements the three-dimensional effect by adding a textured surface finish to stand out as an object in a flat wall environment without plants. The internal structure was manufactured to function as a vase that can insert real flowers, increasing the sense of use such as water treatment and water replacement. The structure was made with transparent sla 3d printing to prevent interference in the formulation.

EIGHT(8)

I designed the gardening kit "EIGHT(8)" inspired by the motif of natural elements interconnected and circulating in nature. Drawing continuous curves, the shape of "8" is created, and within this shape, I integrated elements from nature.
"EIGHT(8)" is an eco-friendly object made from upcycled materials, combining water-based acrylic resin and crushed clamshells. It serves as a "small garden" with the natural patterns of clamshells subtly visible and a terrain that repeats the rise and fall of natural landscapes. By arranging elements of nature to suit your preferences, you can create your own unique garden, offering different feelings and views from every angle or location.

2023 Burner

This is a tableware set inspired by the Goryeo Celadon Hwahyunggi, a traditional ceramic vessel, which was reimagined to infuse a modern touch with a Joseon white porcelain ambiance. The set is designed to target the younger generation.
Through market trend analysis, a matte finish was employed to achieve a contemporary look. To address the issue of scratches commonly associated with matte products, a special glaze with a stoneware texture was developed, resulting in a distinctive surface texture different from conventional matte items.
The design concept is "Floral Urban Beauty." This set embodies a unique concept where the modernity of the city harmonizes with the beauty of flowers. Even in the midst of urban landscapes filled with modern architectural designs and infrastructure, the beauty of nature can still be found. It represents the meeting of urban flowers, and the design showcases lively floral-shaped tableware.

Linked Mirrors

We are aware that plastic recycling is crucial in addressing environmental pollution issues, but often we tend to point to larger entities like major social enterprises or countries as the key actors in this effort. However, society is ultimately composed of individuals, and small changes in behavior and perception, moving beyond the belief that personal efforts won not make a difference, can ultimately drive significant progress towards the sustainability we desire. We aim to find positive connections for the awareness that we all have a close relationship with plastic. Just as a mirror reflects various images depending on what it shines upon, plastic can either end up as waste or be given a new life based on how we use it. This artwork emphasizes that we are the agents of action by connecting recycled plastic with self-awareness. Instead of eliciting negative emotions like helplessness or guilt about things we can not do or our past actions, we encourage a mindset that focuses on the good we can do. By looking at recycled plastic, we hope to foster the perception that small participation is enough and that one can make a positive impact.

Cloud Step Cat Tower

Living brand Muayu, dedicated to pets, is developing a Cat Tower designed specifically for senior cats. They collaborated with the renowned furniture design studio, E-MOK Studio, to undertake a design project tailored for aging felines. The Cat Tower is designed to resemble furniture that seamlessly blends into a pet of owner living space. It is crafted using premium-quality Mulbau wood, offering a luxurious appearance and texture.
The design incorporates a unique structure that combines five leg supports with three vertical panels, creating a curved, structural shape that sets it apart from traditional designs. To ensure comfort for both senior and young cats, a universal design concept was applied, keeping the height between the leg supports relatively low.
Additionally, cushions were designed to cushion joint impact. This cat tower aims to provide senior cats with a comfortable and healthy place to rest, and it is also suitable for younger cats.
The expectation is that it will offer a relaxing and healthy environment for senior cats to enjoy.

This coffee table and stool design is tailored for small households (1-2 people) with consideration for the modern lifestyle. In today of world, the routine of enjoying a cup of coffee at home in the morning or after work has become a small source of happiness for many people. Even though it lasts for just a few minutes in the morning, creating a good environment for this precious moment is important to those who value it. This table product features a unique detachable laminate component, allowing users to freely change its color to match their preferences and the season. Marbella

The Marble Furniture Series project aims to breathe new life into high-quality marble by turning it into the main furniture piece and proposing unique designs utilizing leftover materials (recycled/upcycled). This series includes furniture and interior accessories designed to create a cozy and comfortable environment for individuals and families to gather and enjoy coffee or tea breaks.
Efforts are made to strike a balance between modernity and luxury while upcycling eco-friendly materials, fostering a sustainable and sophisticated living space. The design takes into consideration the efficient utilization of stone slabs without waste. After producing the main furniture pieces, the remaining scraps are repurposed for items such as lighting and decor. For small pebble-sized fragments and those even smaller, a system is in place to repurpose them into new materials using terrazzo and resin.

OSOF
Deposition-Stool

The Deposition series is a project created using 3D printing technology to produce furniture from OSOF’s recycled plastic materials. It is based on a scenario where discarded plastics are deposited and used to design furniture, incorporating elements like land and rocks generated from the deposition of these waste plastics. The process of layering and outputting various pieces of recycled plastic is likened to the deposition process, and the unique texture of the resulting output is metaphorically referred to as strata. In traditional layer-based 3D printing, the layers generated in the output are typically considered a technical limitation and are often sanded down or covered up. However, the Deposition series actively embraces this as a technique for expression. In particular, through the Deposition project, the design of furniture serves as a representation of our close relationship with the plastic era in our daily lives. Through this collaboration, new side tables and stools will be created.
