Tatro — a portmanteau of table and trolley — functions as a table with wheels for easier transport and serves multiple purposes, especially in a small space. Due to its wheels which act as an axis, it can be used as a table of two different heights. The lower side is 350 mm tall and suitable to be used as a low floor table. The higher side is 650 mm tall and suitable to be used as a side table that could sit beside a bed or sofa. The handles on both sides make it easy to move around and rotate the direction. There are shelves inside the table so you can store items such as books, laptops and drinks depending on the situation. Tatro will be able to satisfy the needs of many people with its various functions, easy portability, aesthetics and durability so that it can be used continuously according to the changes in lifestyle.

It was a great opportunity to work with a designer. We discussed about many processes from design to production. We talked about the details to put the design into production and focused more on the connections where materials with different properties meet each other in order to make them look more natural and robust. In that way, we were able to satisfy design and robustness at the same time. Thanks to this collaboration, I could try new things with great excitement, and it helped me gain confidence in myself.

Based on Wood Studio Woom’s extensive knowledge of wood, I was able to try new designs and details and learn many things along the process. From concept generation to design development to production, I enjoyed the whole process while we discussed and worked on many things together. I was very satisfied with our final result and the collaboration with Wood Studio Woom.
