Amid the recent K-dessert craze, the
company has created tea coasters and other household items with the motif of
traditional sweets, which have helped transform the old-fashioned into the hip.
The sentimental-looking yakgwa tea coasters, jeolpyeon pen trays, and dasik card
holders are made of solid wood for a crafty feel and are designed for easy mass
production using CNC machining techniques. Korean traditional sweets and rice
cakes, which have captivated the taste buds of all generations, from the MZ generation
to the middle-aged and elderly, have been transformed into trendy household
items worthy of the K-dessert moniker, adding flavor and style to monotonous
daily life.

"We collaborated because we were
intrigued by the idea of designing a product based on traditional Korean
refreshments. After many meetings, we decided to use solid wood to capture the
Korean spirit, and to use different finishes so that even the same wood can
have a different feel."
Designer Treasure Plate
"We studied the colorful composition of the collaborative product and wanted to create a design that would have a positive impact on consumers. I was able to learn a lot about CNC machining techniques, the types of cutting blades needed to replicate the shape of a traditional refreshment in solid wood, and more."
