The Adidas x LEGO collaboration, released in June 2021, is a project of LEGO that reimagines Adidas sneakers in brick format. A replica of the classic Adidas Superstar is designed to be built with Lego bricks. Consumers can choose whether they want a right or left shoe that measures 27cm in length and 9cm in width and customize their design by choosing from 17 extra LEGO elements. The Adidas x LEGO collaboration does not stop here, but rather focuses on effective ways to harness consumer-driven marketing. Consumers can create unique designs like no other with user-built toys based on sets of original LEGO bricks to add elements with personality. The LEGO group also presented creative design works of six sneakerheads (#builtbyoriginals) to encourage creativity and show the possibilities of how users can customize their own version of the LEGO x Adidas Superstar model. From Adidas Superstar’s classic white body and a logo with three black stripes to detailed elements like the classic shell toe, the brand logo on the heel tab and the gold accents, the finished product draws immediate attention with its look which perfectly replicates the original sneaker with LEGO pieces. With this in mind, the purpose of this collaboration project is to experiment with a series of creative processes that reinterpret and customize the blunt aesthetics of LEGO’s rectangle house-building system into the Adidas Superstar. The shoe based on user-driven design is also expected to have huge potential for new value creation as a highly collectible item especially for ardent fans of Adidas and LEGO.Adidas Original ‘Superstar’ X LEGO ZX8000 bricks sneaker collab. Emanuel Rufo, a Portuguese product designer and a wooden toy maker, unveiled a handmade motorcycle toy. Based on his experience of designing a wooden rocking horse, he has been designing wooden toys in collaboration with his carpenter father up to this day and working on a modern blend of industrial design and traditional woodcraft.Emanuel Rufo’s wooden motorcycle toys are available in three colors and numbers: red with the number 53, green with the number 22 and blue with the number 09. With the collaboration of MA-MA and Mass Studio, Rimowa recently launched its new flagship store in SoHo, New York. Luxury luggage brand Rimowa's 75-square-meter (approximately 22-pyeong) retail store is its third directly operated store located in Manhattan, New York.MA-MA is a design studio founded by Sanam Salek and Laylee Salek. The sisters have design backgrounds with international architecture firms, Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), respectively. Mass Studio is an interior design studio which focuses on high-end interior design services. The two design studios used materials like brushed aluminum, polycarbonate, white Corian and concrete to communicate Rimowa’s brand language by reflecting Rimowa’s iconic design of aluminum cases with their parallel grooves. How it is possible to transform this small 22-pyeong retail store into a flexible environment in order to visually express the dynamism of “travel” which best represents its brand image? The two design studios focused on maximizing the iconic classic beauty of Rimowa’s suitcase against the backdrop of the historical characteristics of the SoHo District, which has been transformed into a wealthy and artistic district from old industrial and manufacturing sites.A defining element of the store that has not been seen in previous Rimowa stores is the “The RIMOWA Passport Studio”.
