The 'Curly' series of wall vases allows you
to view plants from a different angle. Inspired by vines that flow freely along
the wall, these vases allow plants to be displayed in an unconventional
location: the wall. Mimicking the organic curves of plant stems, the vases use
CNC banding technology to create the illusion of overlapping movement, while a
textured surface finish adds dimension to make them stand out as objects even
when plants are not present. The vase can also be used to hold live flowers, and
we created an internal structure to make it easier to use, such as changing the
water. The vase, which resembles a natural object with its graceful curves,
plays a role in revitalizing the atmosphere of the space with its appearance
alone.

"Contemporary product trends are
crossing the line between art and commerce and everything in between, so this
collaboration allowed me to explore the in-between with designers. It was also
beneficial to learn about the design process with a focus on storytelling."

"I have been making art furniture for
a small number of people using wood as the main material, but through this
collaboration, I was able to work with materials that I hadn't used before,
such as steel and plastic, and develop products that are more accessible to the
market while thinking about their use in everyday life."
