KKDC had experience and knowledge about lighting that could highlight the attractiveness of spaces such as buildings and parks. In consideration of this, we tried to proceed in the direction of extending the same theme to wall lamps and bollard lighting based on the tree lamp design. I thought that the movement and role of the light of the lighting composed with the space were similar to the rhythm of well-written music.
Based on inspiration from the movements and rhythms of Tango and in the process of reinterpreting them as lighting, we tried to find a balance between formative and functional parts. In order to implement the design proposal most effectively, a prototype for mass production was produced after consultation with KKDC on the structural part.

In order to express the shape of the 'Tango' dance by Sohn Dong-Hoon with the movement of light, it features a rotating structure and a step-type fixation at a required angle. Although the light emitting module of the lighting is the same, only the method of fastening the column is differentiated depending on the bollard, tree lamp, wall lamp, and point lighting, and we tried to make it publicize in an efficient way. During the project, I checked the mock-up process and the finish with the artist, Sohn Dong-hoon, together, and it helped a lot in realizing a design that would suit the urban modern architecture. We will work together to better express the artist's design propensity and design realization as a maker.
